Our "Limited Edition" Original Backnobbers ® are hand crafted from US manufactured 3/8" stainless steel bars, bent in the shape of an “S'' with wooden balls, one relatively small and one somewhat larger, permanently affixed to each end.
The tool is used by hooking the device over a shoulder or under an arm and using its leverage to apply direct, deep, steady pressure to trigger points in the muscles of the neck, shoulders and upper and lower back or any large or small muscle in the body where a trigger point might occur.
This pressure followed by careful, regular stretching and strengthening exercises can, over time, significantly reduce muscle tension.
The Original Backnobber® , the first of its kind, has been a classic favorite of professional, hands on therapists since 1979.
Our sturdy, Stainless Steel Regular size Backnobber measures approximately 19 inches in overall length with top and bottom curves measuring 9 inches across. The generous, Big Bend size Backnobber measures approximately 29 inches in overall length with the top curve measuring 9 inches across and the bottom curve measuring approximately 13 inches across. The Regular size is used comfortably by most small to average sized adults for over the shoulder, deep muscle compression in the neck and upper back areas and under an arm for middle and lower back areas. The Big Bend offers more reach and can accommodate individuals with 40"+ torso/waist measurements.
Proudly Handcrafted in the USA. Satisfaction guaranteed.

I’ve never actually had a professional massage, but I recently had such a painful knot in my upper back by my shoulder blade that I nearly passed out and had to take off work. After that, I decided to look into massage hooks instead of simply stabbing myself in the back with whatever kitchen implement I had to hand.
I ordered the big bend, as I’m on the borderline size-wise but have a large chest. The large loop helps me reach mid-back without squashing my boobs, but interferes a little when I try to use the smaller end on the tops of my shoulders. I plan to get the regular size for focusing on the trapezius and neck, as well as to take when I travel. Overall, big fan so far (I’ve had it for about three hours, and used it for about a half hour episode of TV).
Another nice thing: I’m a slightly insufferable aesthete, so the clean look of the steel and wood is really pleasing - it doesn’t scream “medical device.”
Would be great to get the essentials kit back in stock with the Big Bend, though. Just because we’re fat doesn’t mean we don’t like bundle deals!
